John Keating

 

John Keating was a charisamtic and energetic English teacher whose methods of learing were very unconventional, fascineting and mostly pretty weird. Often the discussion about him being a good teacher comes up. Questioning whether his ideas were working and actually making students learn something. I believe that mr. Keating was an amazing teacher one, who can rarely see nowdays let alone in the 60s. His methods not necessarerly were teaching students the subject itself but were making them learn it by themselves whilst having developed huge passion towards it, which will surely help in the adult life. His lesson, aside from eduction were source for huge ammounts of entertainment so students are never bored and learn more actively. Seeing all of this I thing mr. Keating was the greatest things that happened to his students and if every teacher was passionate even a bit like him educion in the world would thrive.

Colombias Hippos

During the time of his "reign" Pablo Escobar imported lots of exotic animals such as girrafes, elephants, kangaroos or hippos for his private zoo. After his death in the 90s most of those animals were either moved to natural habitats or killed, with the exeption of hippos who quickly became one of teh biggest  tourist attractions. Unfortunately those animals pose a huge threat to both human lifes and nature. Hippopotamuses are huge and often aggresive animals, already there have been reports on humans being attacked, sometimes even infured. Not only that but while spending most of the day in the water they tend to defecate there making the waters greatly polluted. That why wild live specialst think that the best way out would be culling those animals considering their population is growing faster and faster. Manticore

 One of the interesting mythological creatures, that you can come across in different folklores, is the manticore. Manticore is a creature similar to the Egyptian sphinx. It has the body of a lion, the head of a human, wings of a bat, and the tail of a scorpion. Its name comes from Persia, where it meant "human-eating" and was created to scares merchants trying to use old Persian trade ways. What's interesting is that on the Pomeranian soil there have been found imaginations of a manticore. The only noticeable difference is the creature being tailless.

Masai

The Maasai are an indigenous ethnic group in Africa of semi-nomadic people settled in Kenya and northern Tanzania. Due to their distinct traditions, customs and dress and their residence near the many national game parks of East Africa, the Maasai are among the foremost African ethnic groups. The masai speak the Maa language which is derived from Nilo-Saharan. They also speak Swahili and English. Estimated population of Masai is 900 000 people. Masai culture is stricly connected to nature. They are monotheistic, they believe in god named Engai or Enkai. raditional Maasai people's lifestyle concentrates on their cattle which make up the primary source of food. Amongst the Maasai and several other African ethnic groups, the measure of a man's wealth is in terms of children and cattle. So the more the better. Traditionally, the Maasai music comprises of rhythms rendered by a chorus of vocalists singin harmonies, all the while the olaranyani (song leader) sings the melody.
