Evergiven
Two week ago giant container ship the Evergiven has been freed from the Suez canal, unfortunately for the owners it is stuck once. This time 220,000 ton megaship is not caught in the sand and water but in legal row between Egyptian authorieties and the ships owners. Everyday around 50 ships pass through the canal, this incident made 442 vessels held up. The estimated losses are around 1 billion dollars a day. The canal authority claims that there is no fault on their site. I think that even though this whole situation was unfortunate incident the ships owners should cover at least some percentage of losses.
